Q: What is a prescription drug discount card?
A: Medsave Card allows the cardholder to save money on all types of prescription medications. At the time of purchase, members present their cards at participating pharmacies to instantly receive substantial discounts on prescription drugs.
Q: How does the card work?
A: Present your Medsave Card to your participating pharmacy when you pick up your prescriptions. When the card is entered into the computer system, the price on the prescription is discounted based on Medsave’s current medication list.
Q: What kinds of savings can I expect?
A: It will vary depending on the medication, but the program offers substantial discounts on covered drugs. We can save cardholders up to 75 percent on many generic drugs.
Q: Does my doctor need to know about this card when writing my prescription?
No. The Medsave Card has no impact on how you work with your physician.
Q: Are there limits on how much I can use the card?
A: There are no limits on how many times the card can be used and it never expires.
